My name is Rose Davis and I am “Falling Star Quilts”, a longarm quilter and lover of everything that is quilting. Even though I am not a native Texan I got here as soon as I could. Married with two children and two grandchildren, I have established my studio in Frisco, TX.
For much of my adult life, I worked on the creative side of the Advertising/Marketing industry. Over the last 20 or so years, I learned to love the art of color, texture, graphics and production — being able to take creative ideas and helping make it a reality.
On the personal side, I spent a lot of time on the craftier side of art. Taking basic sewing skills that I learned from my mother, I soon realized that I really liked to sew. Then about 12 years ago I was introduced to quilting and I never looked back.
Established in 2008, Falling Star Quilts was my way of bringing both worlds together — graphic art and my love for quilting. With the aid of a Gammill Longarm Machine and the Statler Stitcher, I have finished hundreds of quilts and along with my teaching, I have found the perfect outlet for my creativity. Today, I enjoy quilting on a full time basis.
I would love to work with you on your quilt, whether as a student in one of my classes or as a longarm quilter helping you to finish your piece of art. Just remember — a quilt is not a quilt until it is quilted.
